Floris Betrouw

My name is Floris Eugene Betrouw from Flo-Collection Visual Art, a contemporary artist specializing in mainly self-designed 3D mix-medium art techniques in, Suriname.

My art talent was known to my younger brother and was then discovered in 2011/2012 during the National competitions, and the director of the Art Academy personally guided me for years.

My colorful paintings are created with this art technique, namely painting with paper-mâché with shape and depth, resulting in a 3D visible radiant effect, which I am proud of because I am the first to use these new insights. This technique is processed in such a way that the painter can accurately represent everything from reality compared to a 2D artwork.

I usually use the following mediums for obtaining the artwork process; gluing canvas fabric on the basis of hardboard, drawing the subject, and then applying waste paper that has been processed into a mud mass with water on that figure/subject, let it dry and paint with your art insight. My source of inspiration for painting art with my technique is the static representation of what you can actually / realistically express and make it alive with the right shapes and depths.
The 3D effects of my paintings are vivid, and in reality, the main object in such a painting follows you in the immediate location, and vice versa you see a difference in the artwork depending on your location.

With this art technique, I think I will raise awareness in the international art world. As of today, I have participated from June 2021 to the present in international art online competitions, and currently own 14 successful awards, although 3D mix medium art technique.
