Artist Bio

Carole K. Boyd, a self-taught digital fine art painter, was formerly a full-time professional musician, songwriter, actress, tennis pro, pilot, and equestrian, and to this day still engages occasionally in live musical performances, in writing songs, and in teaching dressage lessons. As an attorney by day, she practices civil law in South Padre Island, Texas, and from her ranch in Bayview where her horse, dog, four cats, waterfowl, and various other creatures also reside.

Carole has exhibited in and been represented by galleries throughout Texas, in Scottsdale and Tubac, AZ, and in Chelsea, New York City. Her work has been featured in numerous publications, won awards, and juried into fine art exhibits throughout the United States and sold to collectors nationally and abroad. Her paintings are on public display in the new Kerrville Municipal Building, the Bandera County Courthouse the Frontier Times Museum, Bandera, Texas, and the new Municipal Building in Los Fresnos, Texas. In 2022 Carole had two solo shows where she sold numerous paintings, contributing a portion of the proceeds to cancer research. She also contributes works to animal rescue fundraisers and benefits for environmental preservation. After years of advocacy, Carole now finds digital art an accepted medium in most competitions, shows, museums, and many galleries. She presently has paintings on display and for sale in the Brownsville Museum of Fine Art, Brownsville, Texas, and online with HMVC Art Gallery in their Freestyle Exhibition, Biafarin’s Exhibition Kingdom Animalia, and KBM Art Gallery with their exhibition “The Dog Days of Summer.” She also has two paintings juried into prestigious shows in Illinois at the Buchanan Art Center and in Abilene, Texas at the Center for Contemporary Arts which will both be exhibited for the months of September-November 2023.
