Artist Bio

Jeanne Wilkinson is a writer and artist sharing time between Brooklyn, NY, and Madison, WI. After being a 'back-to-the-land' farmer in Wisconsin, she got an MFA in painting at Pratt Institute. Her artwork has been shown extensively in New York City and around the world. Her essays have been on WNYC’s Leonard Lopate Show and NPR's Living on Earth, and her fiction in Columbia Journal, and Digging Through the Fat. Chapters from her memoir '1969: My Year with a San Francisco Drug Dealer,' have been in Raven's Perch, New Millennium Writings, The Write Launch, and Metafore Magazine. Her short experimental films have been screened at BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music), at the Greenpoint and NYC Indie Film Festivals, and a video installation was shown at the 13th St. Repertory Theater as part of "Lovers, Letters and Killers" starring Eva Dorrepaal and directed by Joe Battista.
