Artist Bio
Huaqi Liu is a highly skilled and unique oil painter with a strong artistic background. He obtained his undergraduate degree in painting and drawing from SUNY New Paltz, where he specialized in painting and drawing. He then pursued a graduate degree at MICA's Hoffberger School of Painting, where he focused on research and practice in the field of oil painting.
As a contemporary artist, Huaqi's creative style is distinctive and personal. He explores and expresses his understanding of destiny by describing and painting the forms and changes of clouds. He believes that destiny is the unity of necessity and contingency, determinacy and indeterminacy, and clouds are the best symbol of this complex and mysterious unity.
In addition to focusing on the representation of clouds, Huaqi has also been exploring different materials and combinations to showcase different visual effects.
