Artist Bio

Hasna Sal, an artist, and poet, is an architect by profession. A US citizen, Hasna relocated to Kansas in 2020 where she worked as an architect and taught design studio at the University of Kansas. With four years of art studies in England and Wales and her five-year NAAB-accredited professional degree program in architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology, Hasna credits her post-graduate work in landscape architecture from Harvard with the foundation of her glass installations. Hasna’s glasswork encompasses casting, kiln-formed glass, fritography, and torchworking.

In 2021 her installations ‘Utopia’ and ‘Maples’ were selected by the International Biennale Foundation for Larnaca, Cyprus. She won 1% in an art competition for permanent installation on the concourse wall at Kansas City International Airport. She received a grant from the North-East Kansas City Chamber of Commerce for an installation in Independence Plaza Park, Kansas City, MO.
