I draw self-reflected pictures from a new imaginative perspective because narrating fantasy stories through pictures is the genesis of my practice and greatly excites me. I work with a whimsical style to create my artwork.
"Awake" in my works is a process of knowing myself. The strawberry fish girl is my alter ego. These animals respectively represent my goals, ideas, and curiosity. These images of her trip reveal my inner world: On the way to reaching the “tiger” in her mind, she is attracted by a variety of different things in the dreamy scene and gets lost. Even though sometimes the “tiger” is coming and finding her, she still cannot see it; And there is a beautiful peacock in her heart. Many shining “stars” live in its eyes, and every night more stars are falling onto the peacock. I create in these so that my work captures childlike innocence and also expresses my attitude and perspective as an adult about the world around me.
