Alessia Rampoldi

Artist Bio

Luminar, the stage name of Alessia Rampoldi, was born into color, raised among the vibrant and lively art of her father and the biting curiosity of her mother, who has always taught her to let art be the means of expression of her true self.

The artist studied architecture in Milan and Santiago de Chile and, after some work experience in both countries, in 2021 she specialized in musicalization, exhibit design, and architecture for archaeology, receiving a special mention for the Master's thesis, developed together with her design team, on the rearrangement of the Acropolis of Athens entitled Kenós. The nature of the void.

Her strong passion for art has always been cultivated in parallel with her studies and was significantly influenced by her education and the fundamental teaching to pursue beauty in all its forms in the complex reality of everyday life.

She has always drawn, as long as she can remember, alternating pencil, ink, and watercolors. She has always loved playing and experimenting with colors and shades, but it was in March 2022 that she discovered for the first time the acrylic technique at a time when painting was not just an exercise or a wish, but a need, an essential urge to transfer on canvas a huge tangle of emotions through large gestures and to translate it into dense brushstrokes of thick color.

Her art has been shown in collective exhibitions in Milan, Rome, Paris, and Berlin, her work is represented by the German branch of Galeria Azur and some of her paintings have been featured in the 2023 Spring campaign of British Vogue, Vanity Fair UK, House and Garden and The World of Interiors.
