Christina Safholm

Artist Bio

I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area in Northern California. I currently reside in Placer County and create my abstracts in my tiny bedroom studio. I live with my parents and a variety of animals which I adore and cherish, and I have two adult children. My ultimate goal is to have a private studio outside of the home where I can paint abstracts full-time. Naturally, I would love to make a career and sell my work, but I know that I would also enjoy and be successful at teaching young children the art of abstracts, color, theory, and design. I am very much in tune with my intuition and know that that specialty would ultimately be a lifelong dream. A unique thing about myself is that I have a nine-level neck fusion that restricts all movement, and have had to adapt, yet not limit myself in what I can do and achieve. I encourage disabled persons to push the envelope and explore the possibilities. —When I paint, I am free.
