Yvonne Welman

Artist Bio

After her education at the Academy of Arts Tilburg ( NL). She worked as a teacher in arts and art history. To improve her qualities as a painter she took lessons in 16e and 17e centuries oil painting techniques. The artist works with open acrylics in a layering technique. She often integrates textile fabrics and other materials from her personal history. Her work has to be realistic because she creates multifaceted and engaging paintings, that tell visual stories about her experiences and ideas. The stories cover gender equality, social issues, art history, and personal issues. She does explore the Zeitgeist from a female view.

She is a member of the artists societies NABK and BOK. Waddinxveense KunstKring , Krimpener Kunstwaard all in the Netherlands, Manhattans art International on line Gallery. U.S.A., Kun:st International Stuttgart Germany

She received awards in France, Swiss, Germany, England, the U.S.A., and the Netherlands.
