Artist Bio
For many years Kris painted as a hobby. She entered juried shows and was in a couple of galleries. She thought one was an artist after one sold a painting. After selling her first painting, she realized she didn't feel differently, she was an artist all along. Selling art doesn't make one an artist.
Kris paints landscapes using modeling paste and gel which gives a 3 dimensional look and lots of texture.
Monet has always been an inspiration. Kris was fortunate to visit Giverny some years ago. The viewer will notice Impressionism in her work.
