Sue De Vanny
Artist Bio
Sue is a multi or mixed-media artist, with a passion for textiles and stitching but also loves to add paint and many different mediums, using them separately too. Sue has been more involved in the textile side of art for the last 18 years now, completing City & Guilds Cert 2 in design. Exhibiting around the world with several pieces at a time and being the recipient of awards in Australia and overseas. My work has been on/in magazines and in numerous books with articles and stories behind the artworks. With two solo exhibitions the last one being in between lockdowns in 2020.
In the future, Sue will continue to delve into mixed media more so, but always involving textiles as it seem to be the favorite. Exploring the ‘What if?’ to see how it ends up. Sue wants to introduce, open minds to textiles in our Art world as well as to be accepted as one of the great mediums alongside oils, pastels, etc.
