Gail Sarasohn
Artist Bio
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Gail Sarasohn has been a Textile Designer, Fashion Designer, and Dinnerware Designer.
While in Brooklyn Gail spent her free time drawing and painting, playing with various concepts and color combinations saving every design in a very special notebook that served as her library.
After receiving a B.A. in Fine Arts from Brooklyn College Gail attended the Fashion Institute of Technology for an A.A.S. degree in both Textile Design and Fashion Design. This helped her pursue a career in the garment industry.
Gail worked in the garment industry in the 1980s before creating a website where she sold Melamine Dinnerware and Ceramic Mugs. After a few years, Gail decided to return to her love of drawing and painting.
Gail's artwork is whimsical, vibrant, and contemporary inspired by travel, her surroundings, and nature.
