Maria Tabet
Artist Bio
Maria Tabet is a visual artist located currently in Kuwait. She was born and raised in Lebanon, she graduated with honors with her Fine Arts Master and Bachelor. She has exhibited in several biennales locally and internationally such as MACAM - Alita, CulturallyArtsCollective, Passage Journal, and ITSLIQUID- 13th Venice Biennale. She has been a part of several national Art Symposiums and has been a member of the International Association of Visual Artists since 2023.
Her work is always based on some form of research and questioning that always tends to be a critique of society and the human conscious aspects. She started with projects on consciousness and experimenting with oil, installations, video art, digital art, and sculpting. Currently, she works with Acrylics, inks, and printing, the prints started as a solution for a lack of studio space, and soon became a practical and enjoyable process to see small strokes enlarged and reworked.
