J’han Brady
Artist Bio
J’han is an emerging contemporary visual artist living in the Bronx, New York City. Graduate of American University (2019) Master of Fine Art in Studio Art and currently working to complete a thesis for a Master of Arts in Art Education from The City College of New York. J’han also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration with summa cum laude honors from Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design (2017). Professionally, she is an experienced educator holding a Professional Advanced Visual Art Teaching License in New York and Maryland. Currently teaching at a visual art high school and adjunct professor at a community college.
J’han is influenced by abstract, conceptual, and surrealist ways of expression. The exploration of different materials and mediums is intertwined to create powerful visual aesthetics. The intention is to promote dialogue between strangers that can inform our similarities and differences within a universal experience, the complexity of being human.
