Artist Bio
New Jersey-based painter, Kirsten Angel has been painting female figurative statues and portraits for the past several years. She takes inspiration from the women in her life and aims to freeze memories and emotions in time using both historical and newly imagined painted statues. She works in mixed media: paint (oil, acrylic, and watercolor), charcoal, graphite, collage materials, and embroidery. She holds a BFA in Photography from the University of Delaware, an MAT in Visual Arts from UARTS, and is currently getting an MFA in painting at Savannah College of Art and Design.
