Artist Bio
Influenced by nature, Catherine Gruetzke-Blais works in a variety of paint media and collages. Her focus is on color, rhythm, and texture while trying to capture the energy that her mainly natural subject matter exudes. Her ultimate goal is to create a sense of unity in each composition as she works through this creative process. Catherine completed MAT and BFA degrees from Tufts University and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; and she works from her studio at Howard Street Studios in Framingham, MA.
