Artist Bio
Hello, I’m Shelissa with Ebony By Design, I am a self-taught artist located in Denver, Colorado. I have always had a passion for art and started painting as a hobby and to sell to close family and friends. My main focus is on abstract pieces. I have a true excitement for a mixture of acrylic and alcohol ink as well as mixed media. While creating my alcohol ink pieces, I literally blow the ink on with a straw to have more control of the ink. I find it satisfying to create and breathe fresh life into a new piece of art from recycled items. One of my favorite canvases is plexiglass I love how the color of the alcohol inks shines on this canvas. These paintings all come out different their own unique way. I love what art can do to a space.
