A native New Yorker TJ Beagan currently lives in the Northern Plains by way of Chicago, Illinois.
He worked on his first animated 8mm film in fifth grade, his second 8mm feature-length film in high school, and tinkered with black and white photography, leading to work as a high school and college photographer.
Graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a degree in Film and Photography while working at Lee King & Partners broadcast production department, eventually freelancing as a still photo assistant photographer for projects that included work for the US Olympic Committee covering the 1984 Summer LA Games, NCAA, and pro sports for Sports Illustrated, the 1982-1989 Chicago Bears, Bulls, White Sox, and Cubs.
The filmmaking bug got the best of him and he also worked as a freelance production assistant on television commercials and sales films and eventually became an Assistant Director and a member of the Directors Guild of America.
Currently, TJ continues to exhibit and sell his photography while working as an Assistant Director on commercial and theatrical projects.
