Artist Bio
I am Laura Haley and I have a BA in art from Ouachita Baptist University. While there my focus was painting in oil and acrylic and drawing in charcoal. Since I was little I always painted or drew. I grew up in a small, farming town in Arkansas in which my mother was a musician and she encouraged me to develop my talent.
After college, I was able to put my knowledge of design to use as a photography stylist and then started a wholesale art company. There I designed and manufactured lamps, chandeliers, home décor, and children’s furniture for large customers like Neiman Marcus as well as small businesses all over the country.
After 15 years of manufacturing, I decided it was time to get back to what I love most. Painting on canvas and doing collage. I reside in Dallas, Texas with my husband and three children. I have enjoyed participating in many exhibits and shows mostly in the south. I was featured in Canvas Rebel as a spotlight artist for the month of July 2023. My piece “Red Plate” first place winner in the water media division in April 2023 at the Richardson 57th Regional Art Exhibition.
